Even
though Europe has a history that revolves around the Church,
the Gospel has frequently been distorted.
Europe
is the only continent in the world where the Church continues
to decline.
The
number of evangelical believers in many countries stands
at less than 1% of the population - only countries in the
Middle East are consistently worse than that!
Europe
today is a blend of cultures, influenced by materialism,
secularism and alternative religions – none of which
has room for the Gospel.
From
a spiritual point of view, Europe is one of the most impoverished
places in the world and among the hardest to reach with
the Christian message, and yet the doors are open!
We believe
it will take creative and innovative approaches to reach
Europe with the gospel and to plant viable churches. In
this section you will find papers that we think are helpful
contributions to the debate about mission in Europe as well
as useful links.
