David & Anne Kretschmer

Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me. (Mt. 25,40 New International Version)

In 2013 God established a desire in David and Anne Kretschmer to join his mission in a foreign country. They began to search and to pray for God´s leading and discovered a beautiful country called Albania. After two short visits to the “Land of the Eagles”, meeting with the ECM Team, a lot of prayers, and talking with friends and the church they began to realise that God was leading them from Germany to Albania.

In April 2017 they joined the team in Tirana and began learning the language and building initial relationships. Their desire is to serve within their professions. David is a psychologist and Anne a midwife. To do that, they are involved in a church, discipling youth, adults and children through youth groups, bible study groups and children´s programs. In addition to that they are doing Christian teaching and are supporting churches in doing their activities (camps, services, social retreats e.g.). They also provide health training in a state hospital and psychological training in a centre for children with and without special needs.

Many Albanians lack a sense of hope for themselves and their country. Social work connected to the church can help bring true hope into people's lives. Anne and David are investing in young people´s and families' lives, helping them practically and sharing about Jesus.
