Wanted: Business Manager to help change Europe!

Exciting opportunity in ECM Britain's Northampton office.

ECM Britian is looking for a new Business Manager for up to 4 days per week (to be negotiated).  The salary is £28,665.71 p.a. pro rata, thus the 4 day equivalent would be £22,932.57.

Description

You will be responsible for the financlal planning, management and reporting of ECMB.  This includes providing a long-term business plan, financial framework and annual budget.  You will produce and present full annual accounts and be the link with our external auditors. You will ensure that missionaries and other restricted funds are fully accounted for and ensure payments are made appropriately to missionaries, staff and projects.

You will also act as Company Secretary for ECMB, being accountable to the Trustees.  In addition, along with the British Director and HR Manager, you will form the Management Team.  The role also has responsibility for the ECMB database, computer systems and network.

We are in a period of transition and so you will also provide proactive support to the British Director and assist with organisation and systems changes.  This role will, therefore, be for a 2 year fixed-term period initially. 

Qualities

You will need excellent numeracy skills and a good knowledge of accounts.  5 years experience in a financial environment is essential and it would be preferred for you to have experience of the Charity Sector and governance also.  An ability to be organised, with leadership and interpersonal skills is also important. Due to visa restrictions, you must have the right to live and work in UK already.  There is an Occupational Requirement (OR) that the person appointed to the role will be a practising Christian as you will be required to represent ECM and it's Christian ethos whilst also working with missionaries who are required to raise their own financial support.
